The university is returning to in-person classes in Fall Semester, 2022. Please follow the guidelines below: 1.Instruction: (1)Instructors who can maintain sufficient social distancing with students in class are exempted from wearing a face mask. However, they should wear a face mask before and after the class. Students are required to wear a face mask at all times and clean their hands with sanitizer. Eating and drinking are prohibited. (2)Face masks must be worn at all times during physical education classes. However, if instructors and students do not have an upper respiratory tract infection and can maintain sufficient social distancing, they will be exempted from wearing face masks. Instructors and students should carry a face mask with them and wear the mask when they have stopped exercising or after finishing sport activities. (3)Students should have fixed seating in the classroom, and instructors should take student attendance for all classes and keep the attendance record. All classrooms should be well ventilated, and disinfected regularly. Classes that need to use machines and equipment should disinfect the said machines and equipment after the classes have ended. 2.Measures for COVID-19 Confirmed Cases and Self-Test Positive Cases: (1)Those who are tested positive should abide by the 7-day Home Care regulation. If they do not exhibit any symptoms after 7 days, they may return to classrooms. (2)Those who do not wear a face mask and have close contact with individuals who are confirmed cases or self-test positive cases for over 15 minutes, will receive a COVID-19 rapid self-test kit from the university. Those who are tested negative shall return to classrooms. However, they should seek medical attention as soon as possible if they exhibit any symptoms. (3)Those who wear a face mask and have close contact with individuals who are confirmed cases or self-test positive cases, should monitor their own health. They shall go to work or classes if they do not exhibit any symptoms. (4)All course related measures are implemented in accordant with the “NTNU Epidemic Prevention Codes and Continuity of Operations Plans.” To ensure students may continue to learn, instructors should adjust their courses and manage their classes for students who are under home care. 3.The campus epidemic prevention measures will be adjusted based on the development of the epidemic and the announcements of the government. Please follow our announcements on the NTNU Epidemic Prevention Section and the Office of Academic Affairs websites closely for any new updates. |
